Guardian Storage | Monroeville Making a Difference

| By admin No Comments

Guardian Storage | Monroeville continues their commitment to their community by opening their doors to accept food donations for the Pittsburgh Dream Center. Pittsburgh Dream Center started their mobile food bank here in Pittsburgh to help busy families and single parents to find convenient times and locations to pick-up the food items they desperately need. They use volunteers to pack grocery bags at the Braddock Salvation Army and deliver the food weekly to local families.  This past school year Pittsburgh Dream Center provided 4,800 weekend meals to elementary students at a local McKeesport School and have fed numerous others during their other outreaches. They know the need is great, as many elderly and single working parents cannot get to a local food bank for various reasons or do not get an ample supply of food for themselves and their family.

Knowing 1 out of 5 children go to bed hungry and 15% of all households struggle with food hardship in our country. The Pittsburgh Dream Center is doing something to change that and Guardian Storage wants to help them do more! Stop by Guardian Storage | Monroeville, Monday through Saturday 10am – 5pm, to donate canned goods and non-perishable items and help support local families.
